Friday started with a snack and beverage at the Pub with a few coworkers. It followed with a somewhat uneventful evening, but full of planning for the "run" on Saturday.
Saturday was a good morning to sleep in a little, but the day still got started in good time. Our plan: Ikea, Babies 'R Us, Target, and Menards. I really don't care for Ikea, but the planning on Friday night really helped. We were able to access the aisle and bin numbers online, so we could bypass the showroom.
We may have gotten more than we had gone for, but we still had enough room.
Now to go from Ikea to Babies 'R Us wasn't so bad. Things in the Cities really aren't that far away, but you really have to know the roads...which I don't really care to learn.
We looked over strollers, etc...ordered a crib...bought the car seat and stroller...
Went to Target boutique and got the nephew Alex, a birthday gift, as well as a crib mattress and the new Creed cd entitled Full Circle($9.98 special). The jury is still out...a good few songs, hopefully it's a good blast from the past.
Menards was very uneventful. I returned some of the items left over from the basement. No recent in hand, so store credit is what we got. I purchased an allen wrench set, which proved to be worthy as I then spent the next 12 waking hours putting together 5 separate pieces of furniture from Ikea.
